The small hamlet of Pitt Town located just five minutes away, is best known for its historical 19th century buildings including Strathmore (1826), Huxley’s Blacksmith’s Shop, Mulgrave Place, The Bird in Hand Inn (1850s), Bona Vista (1888), Scotts Church (1862) and St James Anglican Church (1857).
Other Hawkesbury attractions include Ebenezer Church (1809) Australia's oldest surviving Church, Arndell House (1821) and Pioneer Village, St Alban’s Settlers Arms Inn (1836), the historic Jubilee Vineyard and Tizzana Winery. Peaceful Mt Tomah Botanical Garden and Bellbird Lookout is a short drive away.
